“History of St. Louis County” Vol . 1 & 2, p . 428 by Wm; Thomas: Stanton Hume, Sr. married Sara Breckenridge December 1822. He was the fourth child born to John and Anna (Grigler) Hume. He came with his parents to Missouri from Kentucky in 1818, having previously emigrated from Virginia. Sarah came from Kentucky with her parents in 1820.
